Our POLi API is created around the REST architectural style and we've designed our API to be as secure, intuitive and flexible as possible.
Some key features we provide:

  • Ability to order the fields in your request however you like
  • Removal of optional fields from your request
  • Responsive, easy to understand error messages

POLi prohibited merchant categories

The POLi prohibited merchant categories are listed below:

  • Offshore and unlicensed online gambling services
  • Affiliate Schemes
  • Pyramid Schemes
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Synthetic drugs and pharmaceuticals
  • Adult services
  • Binary option, CFD & Forex trading providers who do not hold an Australian Financial Services (AFS) license or authorisation from a AFS license

POLi branding, trademarks and other information relating to POLi must not be displayed on websites of merchants whose services include any of the prohibited merchant categories, or on the websites of merchants whose access to POLi services has been suspended or terminated.

Integration Options

Via Web Services Integration

If you need the full functionality of POLi, then you'll need to know how to fully integrate POLi's services. Basic networking and programming knowledge is required.

POLi Link is a fast and effective way of accepting payment, ideal for requesting payment on invoices, emails or websites. This can be created manually from within the POLi console or automatically via web services.

Via Shopping Cart Plugins

Our shopping cart plugins make it incredibly simple to integrate POLi into your eCommerce website. Almost no technical knowledge is needed.
Firstly, you need to make sure you have signed up for your POLi account – please visit POLi online signup
In step 1, please choose the shopping cart from the pick list – if your shopping cart is not listed then we do not offer a plugin for your site. Please also specify the version number of the shopping cart software your site is running.
Once you have completed your online signup, we will send you an email with a link to download the best POLi plugin for your eCommerce website.
Please note, if you specify Shopify in your online signup, we will send you an email after you have completed your online signup with credentials and instructions to add POLi to your site.
